We've had a different hummingbird visiting us I don't know what variety it is but it has forked purple on it's neck! SO beautiful! I just searched it out and I believe it is a Costa's Hummingbird!

ALSO we've been waiting all year for this passion flower "Passiflora Actinia" to boom and it finally has!

Peppers, Watermelon (Sugar Baby), and Strawberries. Sure hope we haven't crowded everything, but we are too excited to grow stuff! LOL

Anna's Hummingbird

Today we saw a unique hummingbird that was brown and made a different kind of noise more like a whirring sound, but we didn't get a photo or video of it. Later on a lovely Anna's Hummingbird visited and this is the little video we got of him! I'm always surprised at how much bigger they are than the Ruby Throated hummingbirds!

Pineapple Sage for the Hummingbirds

Gerard got these photos of a Ruby Throated Hummingbird today! We just love watching them hum around their favorite flowers. The one he's at in the photo is a pineapple sage and if you brush the leaves it smells like pineapple! So far it seems to be their favorite flower in our garden right now.

Hummingbird and Fuchsia

Here is a few shots I took from out our window this summer here in Georgia. I just love this photo of a fuchsia plant we bought to entice the hummingbirds. I also love the detail of these close up photo's of a Ruby Throat Hummingbird. I perched on on the table with my camera poised, waiting for the perfect shot! I couldn't get one of the Hummingbird at the fuchsia though, they just zip too fast.

Hummingbirds in the Desert

It was in the desert that we fell in love with hummingbirds. It was where we started to plant things they love and try and get the elusive photo. Here is one mid flight. I believe these are Ana's Hummingbirds.
